How accurate is radioactive dating

To date a radioactive rock, geologists first measure the “sand grains” in the top glass bowl (the parent radioisotope, such as uranium-238 or potassium-40).They also measure the sand grains in the bottom bowl (the daughter isotope, such as lead-206 or argon-40, respectively). For example, a problem I have worked on involving the eruption of a volcano at what is now Naples, Italy, occurred 38500 years ago with a plus or minus of 300 years.

In the past 150 years they have not found any fossils that Darwin would not have expected.

New discoveries have filled in the gaps, and shown us in unimaginable detail the shape of the great ‘tree of life’.

Darwin and his contemporaries could never have imagined the improvements in resolution of stratigraphy that have come since 1859, nor guessed what fossils were to be found in the southern continents, nor predicted the huge increase in the number of amateur and professional paleontologists worldwide.

Only rarely does a creationist actually find an incorrect radiometric result (Austin 1996; Rugg and Austin 1998) that has not already been revealed and discussed in the scientific literature.

The creationist approach of focusing on examples where radiometric dating yields incorrect results is a curious one for two reasons.

  1. I was flattered by it at first cos older boys were interested in you, which at 13 is nice." But things took a sinister turn when the boys brought their friends, who were older, and Jane realised she'd been passed on.

  2. He is a liar, addicted to **** who doesn't want to have sex with me. I feel selfish for wanting to cuddle wanting to be kissed I just want to feel loved again I'm so lonely like most of the time I'm alone or any other site. So when he proposed, I said yes, even though I knew I wasn't ready. for things to slow down but the past three plus we are more like brother and sister. Wellllllllll yesterday he took me out on a date ...dinner and a movie still not much conversation but hey it was nice and I really felt like he was trying. Last weekend I cooked a special dinner...candles...trying to rekindle what we once had. I told him I had prepared a special dinner for him. But inside, there is always the hunger for true companioship between married couples. It is my fault I strayed after 19 years of sexual neglect... This morning as I was drinking my coffee in the kitchen my husband walks by and he asks me where I'd put the suitcase. Is it even possible once we've drifted so far apart? It's been 19 years, but it's been bad for so long, I don't even know what a healthy relationship is anymore.
